This was the last weekend before the start of the Spring semester in my part-time MBA studies. So I might as well call it the end of the winter break. Classes start on Monday, though for me personally the first day of classes is Wednesday – Global Perspectives.

Just a short recap of what I managed to accomplish during the winter break:

  • Watched 5 or 6 DVD movies
  • Watched Avatar and Sherlock Holmes in the movies
  • Performed minor fix/upkeep in the house (the list is still open)
  • Visited art exhibition
  • Went to a social event at my daughter’s school
  • Made a day trip to New York
  • Played a few board games with the family
  • Started the book Outliers : the story of success (Surprize! My position in queue in the library was 75 on December 23, but yesterday I got my turn)

I realize that for most people most of the items on this list look mundane. But I know that I will not have time for most of those little “luxuries” during the semester. Time is the most valuable commodity, and there is hardly any left when balancing the part-time MBA, job, and family. The winter break is over ;-( So, I am bracing for the Spring semester ;-)
