Managerial Accounting Final Exam-Done!

I had a major blunder with my final on Managerial Accounting. I knew in advance that the case for exam will be posted on Blackboard a day before. But with all this cramming for the exam proper it absolutely evaded my mind. It was like a blind spot.

I felt pretty good before the final exam, in spite of my initial reaction to the sample exam. After I read up on some of the material I did not make time to read during the module, and reviewed the sample final I felt quite confident on most of the topics we covered in class.

When I came to class and received the case write up 5 minutes before the exam I realized what a stupid thing I had done.  I had to spend at least 30 minutes, out of 2 hours 30 minutes allocated for the exam, on reading the case. This set up the whole stage for the exam. I was nervous while wasting my time on reading the case. I knew I would hardly have time to finish everything in time even without losing half an hour of the exam time. It was not pretty at all. Questions were not that hard given the preparation I had, but because of the wasted time everything was a mess. I might as well draw a hangman on the questions I did not have time to answer, like in the picture I posted in this post. Today for me it was not as much on the funny side, though.

I really was counting on getting at least B+ on the final. Now I don’t really know what to expect. It’s a bummer,  I still cannot believe I could have forgotten about the case being posted in advance.

On a brighter side, I got a result from the last quiz on Global Perspectives. I got all possible points. Now I need to concentrate on the final tomorrow not to miss anything like I did with Managerial Accounting. Bummer, and bummer again!
